How do I record?
The easiest way is the recorder on the Dare to say it page. It works in most browsers, on phones and computers.
You can also use your phone’s own voice recorder app and send the file by email to bandolina.creations@gmail.com. In that case, tell me your native language and how you would like to be credited.
The recorder is not working. What can I do?
- If you opened the link inside Instagram, Facebook or another app, open the page in your browser instead (Safari, Chrome…).
- Check that you allowed the microphone. If you said no by mistake, change it in your browser’s settings for this site.
- Still stuck? Use your phone’s voice recorder and send the file by email.
What will you do with my recording?
I will use it to create new artworks. I am not sure yet what they will be. As this is a crowdsourced creation, I will share whatever comes out of it. Subscribe if you want to know more.
Will my voice be heard in public?
It may be. The artworks made from the recordings can be exhibited, played or shared online, credited as you chose.
Do I have to share my real name?
No. You can be credited by your name, a nickname, or remain anonymous. I would like to credit every volunteer contributor, in the way each one prefers.
How will you use my email address?
Only to reply to you about your recording, if needed. It is never shared. Getting news about the experiment is a separate choice: subscribe if you want them.
Can I withdraw my recording?
Yes, at any time. Write to bandolina.creations@gmail.com and I will delete it. Artworks already shown in public may not be possible to undo, but your voice will not be used in anything new.
